I've learned the hard way there's a time limit on the lower-middle-class privilege of owning Pokémon games. Now, whether I'm going to play them or not, I buy them anyway because eventually, this happens to them all.

You know what I WOULD pay $60 for? Eleven. For the longest time, I've wanted a little El to put on my computer desk next to Link and Kirby. I did a gasp when I saw these but...despite her prominence on the packaging, she's not among them.

Why are these Pomni and Jax dolls all $60? Way too much. The stickers say "Japan exclusive." Japan got a LOT of TADC exclusives.

It's time to compare prices again. It wasn't too long ago that these Super Mario Odyssey amiibos were being cleared out for $10 apiece.

"Super Smash Video Games" lives up to its name. There was no hour of the day in which you DIDN'T have to stand in a line just to get in, and then weave through the cramped aisles like a rat in a maze.

Not only that, there are a lot more booths in the con itself with VHS, DVD and Blu-Rays. Perhaps there's a surging collector's market for physical media overall. If I wanted the entire run of Dragon Ball Super on Blu I could have had it today.

The VHS buy-and-trade area gets bigger every year. No, they don't have pre-recorded WOC stuff. If they did, I'd probably be spending my entire budget in this room.
