Rob @robcrank68.bsky.social takes care for Alan's turns of #BirdOfTheDay with the themes #BlueWater birds surround by blue water and #Perched bird perched on anything but not on branches.

Here's a #perched picture from a very cold February day a few years ago. See also profile pic.

Pigeon post … for Alan's #BirdOfTheDay alt. theme of
#Perched, birds standing on anything except branches.
I spotted this chap on gate duty with his human companion in London recently. Both looking eagle eyed.

For today's #BirdOfTheDay Alt theme #Perched, here's an American Crow perched on the bird feeder pole. I caught him in between rain showers/storms this morning. I love the beautiful pattern his wings make across his back! #birds #nature #photography #birdphotography #ECK

This Raven has got you covered! 💙

Surrounded by blue water ✔️
Not perched on branches ✔️

Today’s #BirdOfTheDay alt theme is #Perched . On anything other than a tree.
Juvenile Bald Eagle perched on a rock, sitting in the rain.
I was in my Chef whites, slowly crawling closer and closer to get this shot.

For #BirdOfTheDay alt theme #Perched, a Great Blue Heron perched on top of a chain link fence at Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve. The heron was in the middle of a long preening session, and I was surprised it was so relaxed out in the open and near a (human) walking path.

#birdoftheday alt theme is #perched, like this pelican in Hervey Bay, Australia

Uh, oh. I have one!
