@metalpoet.streamI need to do another post about how good #owncast really is. It really is a 5 minute setup.
Now I had the benefit of already owning a domain through cloudflare so I could use their tunnel service avoiding dyndns and port forwarding. [1/3]
@metalpoet.stream@metalpoet.stream🎲🔴 #LIVESTREAM TONIGHT — 9PM CET!
It's my debut stream on my own self-hosted #owncast instance — no algorithms, no ads, just cozy RPG goodness. 🇳🇱
Tonight: Honour Mode Baldur's Gate 3, Part 2 — the continued adventures of Minnie Skirts 🎀

@metalpoet.stream@metalpoet.streamAs I am getting back into the #livestream hobby I wish I didn't have to enrich, and deal with, either Amazon (who owns #twitch ) or Google (who owns #YouTube ) to do it.
And it turns out I don't. Turns out #owncast exists. [1/3]
@metalpoet.streamSo I should say this, because some of you probably don't know. But I'm doing a 12-hour 9am-9pm WoW:Forever Stream on November 5th.
I'll post periodic reminders too.
Come join me for a big launch-day marathon stream. metalpoet.stream

@wendythedruid.thistlenfern.org.ap.brid.gyWe run our own server for this. Owncast, self-hosted, ours — https://live.thistleandmoss.org — then YouTube @wendythedruid and https://stream.place/thistleandmoss.com for whoever's already there.
What do you actually want me to chew on Monday?
@wendythedruid.thistlenfern.org.ap.brid.gyMonday I'm going to say out loud the thing I couldn't fit in 800 words this morning: that the 4:34 a.m. vote and the jobs report are not two stories. They're one story, and the timing of the first tells you exactly what they thought of the second.
@mosskoi.social.mosskoi.com.ap.brid.gyI have published my first #owncast plugin
https://git.mosskoi.com/mosskoi/emoji-autocomplete-owncast-plugin
it's an emoji autocomplete akin to youtube or kick.
I have some more on the work, very excited about the possibilities, amazing work with the SDKs
@radioanar.kolektiva.social.ap.brid.gyOn a ouvert aussi une instance Owncast également (car le Fediverse, c'est trop cool)
@wjmaggos.liberal.city.ap.brid.gyThe merger deal re #Paramount & #WarnerBros etc is just the latest reason why we should all be fighting to displace broadcast and cable TV and the big tech streaming services via #owncast and #peertube. With recommendations not coming from owners and algos they control but via trusted human […]
@purplejillybeans.kind.social.ap.brid.gyIn about an hour I'll be #GoingLive on #Owncast to finish my playthrough of Hexen II on my Win98/3DFX rig. With all of Eidolon's Dark Generals defeated, it's time to return to Blackmarsh and take on the Big Bad himself.
Kind of an odd time, at least for a […]
