What documented assessment put these projects ahead of other hospital needs across NB?

Were accreditation risks, patient volumes, infrastructure condition & readiness assessed consistently?

Like most everyone, I don’t want to pay more for property tax than needed and I expect those we elected to city council to make their case, through the budget, on any increase (or decrease) based on overall budget of revenues, spending and projects. #Fredericton #nbpoli

This year, Holt capped municipality’s authority to set property tax rates that drive ~85% of revenue (#Fredericton’s estimate). If higher than Holt Gov. determines, in its own right, municipality needs to justify. The process is not yet known & budgets are due in 2 months #nbpoli

In October 2024, the party leaders were in this chamber and then Liberal leader promised property tax reforms to empower municipalities. It didn’t happen and what came was a freeze that was a $4.2m hit to #Fredericton this year.
