I've had some problems trying to choose 9 anime that helped sculpt me into who I am today because I only started watching anime when I was older, but #my9anime are all anime I would recommend to anyone who is starting to enjoy anime

Me and My 9 Formative Anime

I’ve had a handful of genres influence me over the years. Honestly, seeing things like Akira, Evangelion and M.D. Geist before I was even 12 probably didn’t do me any favors mentally. At least things seemed to level out over the years. 😅

#My9anime. really showing my age with some of these. And I really shouldn't have watched a couple of them as I was too young( I thank my friend for that).
Also I needed another 9 for honourable mentions ( on the right)

This was hard. I had to consider which ones were more than just "I loved this anime" and rather "which anime resulted in something good in my life or changed my perspective or made something cool happen to me."

ALSO ANIME IS PLURAL AND SINGULAR FOR ANIME! STOP ADDING AN "S"!
