R programming can be useful for a career because it helps with data, graphs, and problem-solving. Learning R could also give me another skill that may help with future jobs. I think learning R could be useful in many different careers.

1.R programming is useful to my career it gives a visual advantage to data analysis.
2. R programming is also a high demand skill especially in media and healthcare jobs.
3. R programming can also help identify the market demands and assist firms when it comes to making decisions.

I realized R programming could help me go beyond basic Excel analysis by identifying patterns in customer behavior and marketing performance. #mktgfiasco4000

After reading about R programming compared with Excel, I learned how R can make data analysis more efficient and reproducible. Its ability to handle large datasets, automate tasks, and support advanced statistics makes it a valuable career skill. #mktgfiasco4000

Unlike manually updated spreadsheets, R scripts can be saved, reviewed, and run again. Its modeling, reporting, and visualization capabilities make it easier to share reliable findings. Excel is still useful, but R is required for scaled, consistent data analysis. #mktgfiasco4000

I have been learning how marketing analytics can turn raw data into useful insights. In RPubs, I practiced writing code, analyzing data, and creating graphs to better understand customer behavior. Every visualization helped me see the story behind the numbers. #MarketingAnalytics #mktgfiasco4000

One of my biggest takeaways from marketing analytics week 3 is that graphs make data easier to understand and communicate. Building visualizations in R helped me identify patterns, compare results, and explain findings more clearly. #DataVisualization #Marketing #mktgfiasco4000

I agree. The visualizations make the pricing patterns much easier to understand than raw numbers. #mktgfiasco4000

Yeah, I agree with you. Los Angeles may have higher conventional sales because avocados are widely used in everyday meals, while New York’s organic demand may be driven by consumers willing to pay more for perceived health and quality benefits.

I’m getting more comfortable using RStudio and working with datasets. I still have a lot to learn, but I’m excited that the graphs and results are starting to make more sense to me. #mktgfiasco4000

This week I learned more about using R and ggplot2 to visualize data. My biggest aha moment was seeing how much easier it is to understand a dataset once you turn the numbers into a graph. #mktgfiasco4000

@jgna.bsky.socialSep 15, 2026, 5:49 AM

same here, this week was a lot. the ggplot2 stuff took me a while but it helped once i could actually see the charts #mktgfiasco4000

@jgna.bsky.socialSep 15, 2026, 5:49 AM

yeah i got the same thing, LA for conventional and NY for organic both years. the proximity to growers thing makes sense for LA #mktgfiasco4000

@quynhunguyen.bsky.socialSep 15, 2026, 5:43 AM

This showed me how data visualization can help identify patterns and support business decisions. These skills can be applied to marketing by helping businesses understand pricing, sales trends, and market performance. #mktgfiasco4000

@jgna.bsky.socialSep 15, 2026, 5:38 AM

made two ggplot2 charts this week, one of prices over time and a boxplot of organic vs conventional. organic averaged about 44 cents more. still getting used to R but it's starting to make more sense #mktgfiasco4000

@quynhunguyen.bsky.socialSep 15, 2026, 5:38 AM

Functions such as "summary()" helped me understand the characteristics of the data, while visualization tools such as "ggplot2" allowed me to present the data more understandably. Creating histograms and scatter plots also helped me see relationships between variables. #mktgfiasco4000

@jgna.bsky.socialSep 15, 2026, 5:37 AM

week 3 we used R on avocado sales data. LA had the most conventional sales both years and NY had the most organic, kind of surprised NY beat LA on organic #mktgfiasco4000

3rd week of class was pretty difficult this time around. A lot of new information and techniques to follow, but very challenging. Who knew?

One thing I learned this week is that you don’t have to be an expert at coding to start using data in marketing. Tools like R can help turn information into insights that businesses can actually use to make decisions. #mktgfiasco4000 #MarketingAnalytics #RStats

@kameronwilso.bsky.socialSep 15, 2026, 4:52 AM

This week I learned more about how marketing analytics helps businesses turn customer data into better decisions. I was surprised by how many different skills are involved in business analytics beyond just working with numbers. #mktgfiasco4000 #MarketingAnalytics
