@killswitchjohnny.bsky.socialSomething a little different from KillSwitch Johnny
@nowwave.radioFun fact, that sample loop running through 'Steal My Sunshine' comes from Andrea True Connection's 'More More More' 🕺 One-hit wonder magic on Flashback right now

@onehitwondered.bsky.social"Steal My Sunshine" nearly stayed buried until it landed on the soundtrack for the 1999 film Go, and radio took over… As the lead single from the Go soundtrack, it was heavily promoted… even though the song didn't make the final edit of the film. #Go #Len #StealMySunshine #OneHitWondered
@onehitwondered.bsky.socialEverything changed for Len in 1999 with "Steal My Sunshine." Built around a looped sample of Andrea True Connection’s 1976 disco smash "More, More, More," the track paired nostalgic synth grooves with laid-back, alternating vocals from Marc & Sharon. #Len #AndreaTrue #OneHitWondered #MusicSky
@onehitwondered.bsky.socialI’d be remiss if I didn’t post Len’s video of “Candy Pop.” #Len #OneHitWondered #MusicSky
@onehitwondered.bsky.socialBefore “Steal My Sunshine,” Len found an early foothold on Canadian television… Recorded in 1994, “Candy Pop” was introduced as the intro music for season 6 episodes of CBC’s Halifax-produced teen consumer-affairs series Street Cents. #StreetCents #Len #OneHitWondered
@onehitwondered.bsky.socialLen was/is a Canadian alt-rock/pop unit formed around Marc Costanzo and his sister Sharon. They spent years grinding it out in the Toronto punk, underground indie-rock & hip-hop scenes before finally hitting the jackpot with a ‘70s disco sample. #Len #Toronto #StealMySunshine #OneHitWondered
@onehitwondered.bsky.social🇨🇦 The week ending September 11, 1999, Canadian alt-rock/pop group Len earned US #OneHitWonder honors when their breezy, carefree alt-rock classic “Steal My Sunshine” entered the US #Billboard #Top40 at #31. The single spent 21 weeks on the chart, peaking at #9. #Len #OneHitWondered #MusicSky
