VAR ruling out a valid (and beautiful) goal by Barry is particularly egregious after Manchester City had the reverse situation last weekend - where a goal was correctly flagged as offsides only for VAR to intervene on their behalf.

Absolutely perplexed as to how we’re winning at half-time. Our passing and finishing has been appallingly bad. Proper Sunday League stuff at times. KDH with all the time in the world putting Enciso through on goal 🤯. Massive improvement needed otherwise no chance we’re winning this. #EVEIPS

A real mixed bag for the Blues in that opening 45 as they looked great on the attack but were far too susceptible defensively. Grealish’s quality on a first start of the season has been the difference for David Moyes’ side
