Got started on my Wyld Hunt last night, they’re going to be a LOT of fun to mess around with! I am going to have to look hard to find some good lab coat bodies on myminifactory for my take on the chymist cult. #Necromunda #Escher #WarhammerCommunity

Seen in the M.C. Escher exhibition at Somerset House recently. Not Goth Bauhaus, but an Italian jazz rock band, recorded live in the studio in 1974 in their only documented session but not released until 2003. In the exhibition showing the influence Escher had on popular culture by the 1970s #escher

More from the MC Escher exhibition at London's Somerset House.

Yes, it is #WeeBee time but with an Escher twist. *Details in Alt text 2

Bees emerge from hexagonal interlocking hive shapes that appear to contain croissants. The bees take flight from their round hive and, in typical Escher-style, transform into silhouettes in a long piece of artwork. Eventually they become birds and then fish. The work is titled Metamorphosis III excerpt 3.

Some days I feel
this outer shell
does not reflect
how I really feel.
I'm not a Titan
Nor am I this wee
Auld Celtic man.
Relatively speaking,
I can touch the sky.

The Relativity Room at the Escher exhibition staged at London's Somerset House. In the first picture, top, I stand in the left corner of the small distorted room with its chequered floor pattern and my son's wife in the adjacent angle. I seem unaccountably large while she, in real life inches taller than me, like an elf, yet dressed in stylish white slacks, jacket and fedora hat. The photograph beneath has our positions reversed and I am back nearer to my normal size while she towers above me. The third photo taken from above reveals the trick of the rooms geometry as visitors queue to take their turn inside as they might in a fairground hall of mirrors. One person takes a photograph of two people inside undergoing the same unnerving experience. The fascinating works of Dutch artist MC Escher brought to life.
*Thanks to the unnamed man who kindly took our photographs.
