We lost John Ashton two years ago today. Before he was Sgt. Taggart in Beverly Hills Cop he was a real estate agent in #Columbo: Negative Reaction. #RIP

@coughlinbrett.bsky.socialYes, the Ferrari featured in the Columbo S2 episode "Double Shock" is Ric Carsini’s Ferrari 330 GTS in the later S3 Ep2 “Any Old Port in a Storm.”
Ferrari manufactured only 100 open-top 330 GTS.
I love this show.
@coughlinbrett.bsky.socialDr. Barry Mayfield is about to be pinched.
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialHappy birthday to the lovely Britt Lind! She made an unsuccessful play for #Columbo in "Death Hits the Jackpot" as one of Freddy's neighbors.
@johnnynicepainter.eurosky.socialWell well. Didn't know that. Look at the director and writer of the first (non-pilot) episode of #Columbo.
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialHappy birthday to Columni Patrick O'Neal! He appeared in two #Columbo episodes, first as murderous architect Elliot Markham, and then as New York TV executive Frank Flanagan.

@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialHappy birthday to Charles Macaulay! The name might not be familiar, despite the fact that he was in 3 Columbos, but what if I told you that he was the dog school headmaster who said that Dog "demoralizes the other students." #Columbo
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialOne of those questions that comes up from time to time...did #Columbo ever carry a gun? Rarely, yes.
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialHappy birthday to Columni Robert Walden who was the most 1970s Los Angeles character ever in "Any Old Port in a Storm." #Columbo
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialAnd it starts anew! "Prescription Murder" starting now on Universal Crime! #Columbo acolumboblog.blogspot.com/2021/05/pres...
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialThis actor is Mario Gallo. "Candiate for Crime" is my #2 ranked #Columbo episode...but he's not the reason why. 🤣
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.social"Death Hits the Jackpot" is starting now on Universal Crime. Rip Torn is one of the better villians, especially of the ABC era. #Columbo
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialWow, I must be pretty chatty. I'm now over a thousand posts about #Columbo.
Spoiler alert, the next thousand posts will be about Columbo too.
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialThe actor here is Dean Stockwell, who of course had a long TV career in other things, but back in season two he was the murder victim in "The Most Crucial Game". #Columbo #QuantumLeap
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialOkay, let's try a little audience engagement. What's your favorite #Columbo episode and why?
I can start. Mine is "A Friend In Deed", although there are 3 or 4 other episodes I consider pretty close. I like the performances, I like the story, and the gotcha is second to none.
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialStarting now on Universal Crime: "The Conspirators". It's got a few sloppy gaps, but also a lot of charm. It's a watchable #Columbo.
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.social"Lovely But Lethal" kicked off the 3rd season of #Columbo on September 23rd, 1973.
