Verse of the day Psalms 28:1-2 The Bible speaks of times when God chose to be silent. David cried out but discerned no answer (Psalm 22:2). Job must have felt abandoned by the Lord (Job 23:8-9). And during the gap between the Old and New Testaments, God had no prophet for 400 years. We don’t always hear from the Lord when we expect to. He may be choosing silence because ... • He wants our attention. God doesn’t always answer in the time frame we think He should. Sometimes His silence draws our focus back to Him rather than to the answer we’re hoping for. • He’s inviting us to examine our heart. When we sense distance from God, it can be an opportunity to bring unconfessed sin or resistance to Him—not because He’s punishing us, but because He wants nothing to separate us from Him. • He’s teaching us to trust Him. If we’re motivated to love God only when there’s indication that He’s listening, our relationship with Him is based on feeling rather than faith. • He’s training us to distinguish His voice from others. When God speaks softly, we listen more closely and eventually recognize His voice better. Verse of the day John 11:1-7 Have you ever felt as if God were giving you the silent treatment? Perhaps you prayed and asked Him for direction but didn’t hear a thing. When the Lord doesn’t appear to be answering our prayers, it’s natural to struggle. We may feel disappointed, discouraged, confused, or even angry. Some of us begin to wonder whether God has forgotten us altogether. Today’s passage gives us a powerful example of what God’s silence can look like. When Jesus heard that His friend Lazarus was sick and about to die, He delayed for two days before setting out. The dying man’s sisters, Mary and Martha, no doubt wondered why Jesus seemed not to care. But ultimately, Jesus performed a far greater miracle than healing an illness: He raised Lazarus from the dead, and for many, faith was strengthened. When we can’t hear God, it doesn’t mean He is ignoring us, unaware of our circumstances, or planning to deny our request. He wants us to have an intimate relationship with Him that’s not dependent on how He responds to our prayers—a love for Him rooted not in what He does but in who He is. That kind of love is the fruit of His Spirit working in us (Galatians 5:22), and it’s something we can ask Him to deepen in our heart. :flushed~1: idk about you But this is straight peak 💎 This message is something we can all relate too 🫂 And look at us now stronger than ever 💪🏻 Better than yesterday 🩵 And we continue to grow in faith 🌱 And if your feeling this way now just know that a sword doesn’t get stronger with out pressure 💯
