Trump killed the #ACA by making it unaffordable. As a Family Caregiver for a dying American, I had no income.

I "qualified" for #Obamacare, but my first invoice was unaffordable. Paying an "agent" $25 for an hour's work qualifying me seems reasonable.

JD Vance & Mehmet Öz are not offering any proof of their #ACA #Obamacare "fraud" claims.

Americans can spend an hour on the phone with a agent, "qualifying" for the ACA, and private insurance is eager to send an invoice to take our money.

Trump made it unaffordable, and those invoices get trashed.

Here is the letter. So is #IBX holding back money? Didn't the #ACA state that a certain % of the premiums we pay should go towards care? There are enough uncertainties in life, healthcare shouldn't be one of them.

We want to keep you informed about contract discussions between Jefferson Health and IBX that could affect your access to Jefferson Health starting January 1, 2027. We are working with IBX to reach a fair agreement that keeps Jefferson Health in your network and protects your access to the doctors, hospitals, and care you trust. Jefferson Health will remain in-network with IBX through December 31, 2026. You can continue seeing your Jefferson Health doctors and receiving in-network care during that time. If a new agreement is not reached, Jefferson Health could become out-of-network with IBX beginning January 1, 2027.The Facts Many families in Pennsylvania are paying more for health insurance than the national average. At the same time, hospitals in Pennsylvania are paid about 14% less by commercial health plans than hospitals across the country. In southeastern Pennsylvania, hospitals are paid nearly 40% less than the national average. Consistent with this trend, IBX pays Jefferson Health about 40% less than the national average. As a result, less of the money patients and employers pay for health insurance reaches the doctors and hospitals that provide care. These lower payments make it harder for Jefferson Health to keep up with rising costs due to inflation. Fair payment helps us: Recruit and keep talented doctors, nurses, and care team members Offer advanced treatments and specialized care Maintain important services in the communities we serve Continue providing high-quality care close to home We are not asking IBX to increase your premiums. We are not asking to be paid more than other health systems. We are asking IBX to put the money it already collects towards your care.
