So much furriness in this picture taken in Wisley’s Hilltop World Food Garden. I am back at Wisley this morning for the quarterly staff and volunteer update because I always like to know what is going on! We seem to have had a few drops of rain overnight but we need more!

A yellow Zinnia flower with a furry bumblebee sitting on the yellow stamens which look like tiny stars. In the centre of the flower it is white and fluffy.

A Common Carder Bee, fuzzy yellow and white body arched and black legs gripping it in place, sits on the yellow centre of a white, pink-edged Cosmos flower. A #WeeBee on a blue Ceratostigma/plumbago flower in my front garden. I have these plants in several borders because #Bees love them so. For a change, this one is a Buff-tailed Bumblebee rather than the ubiquitous Common Carder.
