#CSS Does Your Tooltip Positioning Now — Matt takes a look at CSS Anchor Positioning, namely anchor-name and position-anchor || #Frontend #CodeNewbie #WebDev bit.ly/4jUT3jh

Does programmatically rendering components really make sense now that we have `defer`? What would be a realistic use case now?

One I can think of is directives showing other components on demand, although IDK if this is now considered a good practice

#Angular #WebDev #TypeScript

@Directive({
  selector: '[appTooltip]',
  host: { '(mouseenter)': 'show()', '(mouseleave)': 'vcr.clear()' },
})
export class TooltipDirective {
  text = input.required<string>({ alias: 'appTooltip' });
  protected vcr = inject(ViewContainerRef);

  show() {
    this.vcr.createComponent(Tooltip, { bindings: [inputBinding('text', this.text)] });
  }
}

Some of the web's best pages don't have a single HTML tag. There's a weather site, wttr dot in, that draws your forecast in ASCII art right in the terminal. cl0q found about 15,000 pages like it: plain text, zero markup, no trackers.

Vibing an Angular app with Gemini 4 Argon. This is my AGENTS.md so far. Pleasant to see the model is very consistent in instruction following.

Should my stream be about building an Angular app with Argon?

#Angular #Gemini #AIAgents #WebDev

Screenshot of an AGENTS.md file with 9 rules for an Angular project: 1. Single-file components only (inline template and styles, no separate .html or .css/.scss files). 2. Strict file length limit: no file over 120 lines of code. 3. No cheating on that rule with lumped commands or stupid shorthand names; break files down reasonably. 4. Use directives for DOM manipulation, event handling, reusable UI logic, and permission or auth checks. 5. Prefer signal composition over effect for derived state; use effect only for side effects. 6. One name per file: a single declaration per file. 7. No inline SVGs; use SVG icon components. 8. Code that is edited together lives together: group related files by feature, not by file type. 9. Feature folders: a folder for small named things is fine, but more than 2 services and 3 components means the feature is too big.

AI is killing ROOM ESCAPE MAKER 😶

I've created a website to build escape games online, as old school point-and-click games, but AI just suggests to create games for people now insted of recommending it.

I feel unsure about 2027.

You probably knew how to truncate text with CSS. Did you know you can now scale it automatically? Chrome 150 introduces the new `text-fit` property. #CSS #WebDev #Chrome (1/3)

A graphic displaying a CSS code example on a dark card. The background is a sunny green forest. The header says: Chrome 150: CSS text-fit. The center card shows CSS code with two examples of the text-fit property: grow and shrink. The bottom bar shows the photo and name of Lionel Péramo.

An API key belongs on the server.

drobek's proxy adds the key and limits calls to approved servers, methods and paths. The demo uses PokéAPI, which needs no key.
