Steely Dan’s secret sauce? Triple-track vocals for THAT insanely lush, silky sound. 🎙️✨ Once you hear it, you can’t unhear it. #SteelyDan #MusicProduction

One of the many cornerstones of my music library is the CD edition of the 1977 #SteelyDan album, "Aja;" which I found by surprise during my Hood College days.

And in commemoration of the anniversary of the album yesterday, Chicago's #93XRT played the title track in the latenight hours.

Though I have the CD edition, the #SteelyDan LP of " #Aja" pictured is a latter Universal Music/Geffen* LP re-issue; utilizing the mid-1970s "ABC Records throwback" label design style variant.

*Orig. issued on ABC in 1977, the network sold their music interests to MCA in 1979.
