Nasopharyngeal canal (npc, in gray) extending through the cranial air sacs to end at the external nostril (en, in white, left). LS, lacrimal system; NS, nasal system; FS, frontal system; MS, maxillary system, also producing paradental sacs; PS, premaxillary system; MLS, maxillolacrimal system, secondary invasion across or conjoined between maxilla and lacrimal in some dinos; SOS, suborbital system, usually exclusively soft-tissue only and may be the source of many nebulpous bony invasions (pal, iod); JS, jugal system; ES, ectopterygoid system; PTS, pterygoid system; BS, basisphenoid system; PSS (listed as "PS") parasphenoid system; BOS; basiphenoid system, forms a ring of sorts around the endocranial cavity with the PAS, parietal system, from which occipital bones are invaginated; QS, quadrate system, unconnected to AS, articular system, from which the entire mandible (man) is invaginated to its anteriormost extent.
