Teamwork! 1st graders are going on a scavenger hunt in our nonfiction section to see what kinds of books we have.
Kindergarten Ss had the option of playing Uno as part of some centers in library class. It was WILDLY entertaining to coach some that wanted to learn and some that “already knew how to play”.
Happy #DotDay! Our choice time is Dot Day inspired! @peterhreynolds.bsky.social

What other ideas do you use to build community?
Ss are adorning the circulation desk, this time with triangles! Everyone was asked to write and/or draw something that represents what they like to read.

What September brings: the middle school book club pick is Sleepless by Gordon Korman, & the upcoming upper elementary book club pick is The Night Librarian by Christopher Lincoln. Excited for our chat & chew, maker activities, & discussions! #bookclub #RevolutionizeReading #schoollibraries #TLSky
5th graders are thinking about our circulation policies - why they exist. They also have an opportunity to weigh in as to how fair they feel these are. I want them to have more accountability in our library.
