I mean, the town of Port Seymour is fictitious, so the point of divergence has to be between 1880 and 1920 or so... but no, it's our universe, just with yet another thing named after BC's former colonial governor. #FirstDraftFall #WeeknightWriters

There are many types of creatures and plants from big to small. There are also many beings that fill the lands. It is vibrant and filled with many amazing things. My hope on day is that it gets turned into a movie and then built into a land like Disney does.

I've considered that. I kind of chose it spur-of-the-moment for my next project when I found out about #FirstDraftFall It's possible it was a wrong choice for now. But it isn't feeling wrong, and tbh, this is a rather depressing story so I'm not surprised it's hard to get excited about.

My WIP is on a planet called Talitha Harbor.

It takes place several thousand years in the future. The Talithans landed there in a desperate need for a place to live. Their generational ship was on its last engines, so to speak.

The novel takes place just over 1000 sols 1/2

Oh, it's going to be set in a completely new 'world'. Or, more accurately, on 5 planets being held in the branches and roots of a Jupiter-sized magical tree with it's own small star and several moons orbiting it, drifting through space.

It's sort of like the late medieval ages (with a bit of steampunk) and it's not in a good place climate wise because of plot reasons 😅

Variance City is an alternate version of our world, with costumed heroes and villains who have Enhanced abilities.

The world is otherwise fairly comparable to ours.

Matched Magic is set in this world, in Pittsburgh, PA. However, in this series, magic has always been a part of the everyday. We've had to think about how this affects government, education, and even colonization. Most of that is background, but it's been interesting!
