#67/100 I Don't Want to Be a Writer Anymore by Josef B. Wilke (short story, 2025)
Features: an absolute hack trying to be a writer.

Let's please haunt anyone who writes books with genAI. I liked it but wanted the main character to suffer even more lol
#100DaysofHorror

#66/100 The Monkey's Paw by W.W. Jacobs (short story, 1902)
Features: a relic that grants your wish at a cost.

The foundation of obsession actually. Wish making as horror has deep roots and it's fun to see an early story
#100DaysofHorror

#65/100 Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person (movie, 2023)
Features: an unlikely but mutually beneficial friendship

I LOVED this one. It has a cheeky title that it matches with cheeky humor and world-building. Has the gore and has the heart.
#100DaysofHorror

#64/100 Foe by Iain Reid (book, 2018)
Features: an unwanted guest at your house

I liked it conceptually more than I liked it as a book. I can see others enjoying it more than me, though
#100DaysofHorror

#63/100 Seconds (movie, 1966)
Features: a fresh chance at life, if a forced one.

A very interesting and compelling film that kept me engaged throughout!
#100DaysofHorror

#62/100 The Angry Black Girl and Her Monster (movie, 2023)
Features: a Frankenstein retelling that is somehow both faithful and unique

It's a little heavy handed but overall I really liked this! It's consistent to the themes of the original and explores new themes too
#100DaysofHorror

#61/100 Waterweight by Drew Holt (short story, 2025)
Features: a submersible pilot who isn't doing so well.

I like a nautical horror and submersibles are scary, but I wanted this to go a little further with the subject.

Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975) 🎬

Had no idea this was a Valentine’s film, but it fits. A masterpiece of sapphic subtext. Total fever dream of ethereal cinematography, white corsets, and a pan flute score that alters your brain chemistry. Loved it.

#100DaysOfHorror (Not horror, but not not horror)

What’s this? A late night showing of the original ‘Pet Sematary’ up on the big screen during the middle of a freak SC rainstorm? Why yes, I will be there with bells on! ⛈️

#100DaysofHorror Day 52, I am taking a chance with this one: Alone in the Dark (1982) is an oldie but I have never watched it...until tonight!

Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 (2000) 🎬

I was getting major Hellraiser sequel vibes and looked it up—yep, heavy studio interference.
It's actually a pretty enjoyable watch. The underlying concept is pretty cool, and I'd love to get my hands on a proper director's cut.

#32 The Bachelorette Party

A bachelorette celebration at a mansion turns deadly.

Generic and forgettable. Even the description could fit a dozen movies I've already seen.

#33 Office Killer

Worth watching for Carol Kane and Molly Ringwald. Where I personally wish it had leaned a little more into the ridiculous, a fun and surprising watch.

#100DaysofHorror Day 51, in no particular order I decided to watch the original Halloween from 1978. I may watch other titles in the franchise, or maybe some NoES flicks, too.
