Horses are used for longer overland travel. The Celestial Temple and the knight garrison have stables available for a fee. The Temple also rents horses to travelers.

People mostly walk around town, with donkeys and porters usually being for loads.

And, of course, ships of all sizes.

A train system operates in a ring, passing through all the Eden domes.

They also have cars and busses, and beneath the train lines there’s a freeway that connects the domes as well.

Sectors 490 and 491 are typical of a modern Tenalus sector, boasting excellent public transport and highly walkable urban spaces.

Astara has a variety of options for transportation. Sea gliders are a popular one. These fish can be outfitted for personal transport. And mer can also catch a ride from dolphins and whales. The surface ring has docking for sailing ships to allow for trade.

The transportation is just like in most civilizations in the 80s, with buses and cars being the main ones. There are also trains that can be used to travel around the gates that bring them around the portions of the kingdoms, like London to the Snow Kingdom.

Most Folk don't own cars, so West Harewood was built with walkability in mind. Still, a few human-sized cars were turned into free "shuttle buses". There is also a growing market for Folk-sized vehicles, usually custom-built; and Rats have a reputation for being reckless drivers.

The World Court started out as a pirate base in the tunnels and caves underground. Above-ground the city was planned, and then there was major conflict between the pirates and the city builders (who I haven't named yet).

In the Hidden Oasis, metropolitan mass transit is commonplace. There is extremely little in the way of any personal vehicles that are in use within the city. When you see someone using one the individual or group is oft outbound. 🧵

Since Platypus Station is very large (120 km in diamater) rapid mass transit is a necessity.

A mag-lev bullet train runs along the circumference, carrying folks who need to travel long distances. This train also interfaces with the space port of the station.

A city built on railroads and ships should have a pretty fabulous transportation system, yes? Tell that to Capitalism! Fireridge HAD all that; now it doesn't. Proximity to the Interstate and an inundation of car dealerships gradually killed rail and bus services.

A17. There is a train that runs thru Ancus into greater Sesina. Sesina is esp large so they have airships for long-haul shipping as well as pleasure travel (like a cross between airplanes and maritime). Public transport is funded by the govt. Ppl can also purchase their own airships #Septopolis

A16. As a result of the mountainous region of the town being the structured to be an outpost, most of the homes + businesses were retro-fitted around the airship base and fuel mine nearby. That region has since become kinda of a company town w/ the z-mine the center of the economy (3/?) #Septopolis

A16. Ancus became a town kinda by accident. The Hepici civil war let to many fleeing for either another continent or into the Sesina Empire under protection of the Emperor in exchange for two of their mountains to be annexed into the Empire. (2/?) #Septopolis
