Useless #MNUFC training apparel report: it’s cold and pouring rain. Everyone has long sleeves. Tomás Chancalay looks like he’s dying.

#MLS Roster profiles are out, so we took a look at #MNUFC 's roster following the window and the changes over the last six months.

Positive the Loons have A LOT of GAM to work with in the off-season. Negatives, Minnesota has the second most GAM in the league.

Some members of the #mnufc media are pushing for Hank Stebbins to get the CSO job.

Latest comment: "We added 3 players who will all contribute & make us better."

Jackson: 29 mins in 6 matches. 0g/0a
Malone: 43 mins in 3 matches. 0g/0a
Valerius: Waiting on visa

What do people think of him?

#MNUFC got Kyle Duncan’s red card from Saturday rescinded, presumably because the Independent Review Panel knows what Rafa Navarro is like. “We get it,” they probably said in their email.

Check-in: #MNUFC right wingback Kyle Duncan's one-game suspension and fine for second yellow card against St. Louis City last weekend has been rescinded and he is eligible to play against L.A. Galaxy on Saturday at Allianz Field, MLS said Thursday.

#MNUFC has successfully appealed the suspension of Kyle Duncan following his second yellow card against St. Louis City.

Duncan will now be eligible to play against LA Galaxy on Saturday night. Huge news as the club will be missing centre-back Michael Boxall due to yellow card accumulation.

Text Reads: Independent Review Panel Upholds Minnesota United FC’s Appeal of Kyle Duncan’s Red Card

NEW YORK (Thursday, September 17, 2026) – The Independent Review Panel, consisting of one representative from U.S. Soccer, one representative from Canada Soccer and one independent representative nominated by the Professional Referee Organization, has unanimously voted to rescind the one-game suspension and accompanying fine for the second yellow card issued to defender Kyle Duncan in the 80th minute of Minnesota's match against St. Louis CITY SC on September 12.

Duncan is now eligible to play in Minnesota’s next regular season match against the LA Galaxy on Saturday, September 19 (8:30 p.m. ET, Apple TV).

Each club is entitled to two unsuccessful appeals per season, including the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs. Since Minnesota’s appeal was successful, the club maintains its two unsuccessful appeals in the 2026 season.

Kyle Duncan's red card (second yellow) at St. Louis City is rescinded after the review from an Independent Review Panel and he can play on Saturday if #MNUFC's Coach Knowles so chooses. Bongi has been a full participant in training but I expect Duncan to start at RWB with this news.

With their shootout win last night at Real Monarchs, the Twoonies have nearly guaranteed themselves a place in the MLSNP Playoffs.

Heading into their last match of the season Sunday against LAFC2, a win or a shootout win guarantees they stay in the 7th seed and avoid the 8/9 play-in game.

I strongly believe you are not going to read a better league-wide breakdown of the GAM situation across MLS than this one, from @armankafai.bsky.social. #MNUFC gets a mention, of course.

The Philadelphia Union are ruining our run for the GAMpionship!

#MNUFC Roster release:

- Maurice Malone is a TAM player
- Big decisions to make on players with no Contract Options (Drake, Trapp, Boxy (retiring?))
- Approaching the end of their time with the Loons (Gressel, DJ, Adebayo-Smith)

MLS has dropped roster profiles for each club following the transfer window.

#MNUFC has the second most allocation money (behind only Philadelphia) with $4,320,451 remaining.

St. Louis City and San Jose Earthquakes are the only other clubs with over $3 million in GAM.

Training Tidbits: News, notes, and more from #MNUFC ‘s training session yesterday morning.

@jonmarthaler.comSep 16, 2026, 5:57 PM

It's been a year of changes for #MNUFC - and the league as a whole is about to embark on more change. The Loons can't afford to wait when it comes to picking someone to lead the sporting side of the club.

Luckily for them, they could hire a top-notch candidate with about three minutes of work.
