Vasilevskiy does in fact lead the #GoBolts out of the tunnel. He starts the preseason opener.

It's been a long time since we could say this....it's GAME DAY! The pre-season contests get underway with a visit from the Preds. #GoBolts

#GoBolts captain Victor Hedman on playing his first game tonight since March 19: “It’ll be fun. You can practice all you want, but you want to get into game action, so it will be a good test to see where I'm at. But I’m super excited.”

Benjamin Rautiainen on seeing his name on a #GoBolts game jersey before his first preseason game: “It’s going to be special, for sure. First time, you’ll always remember that.”

His parents are visiting Tampa for the first time and will be here tonight.

Geekie and Point the first players on the ice today.

Today’s #GoBolts game group for preseason opener against Nashville, lot of veterans in the lineup, plus Sam O’Reilly and Benjamin Rautiainen, puck drop scheduled for 5 pm. Listen in on @BoltsRadio as I’ll once again be a part of the broadcast team throughout the season

Here are your groups for #GoBolts training camp today.

The lineup for tonight’s preseason opener looks to be mostly NHLers. We’ll also see some prospects in O’Reilly, Rautiainen, Kulebiakin and Czata.

Sam O'Reilly was the only skater in Group A on Saturday without an NHL appearance. At 20, he's making a case for that to change this season, and #GoBolts including Brayden Point are noticing.

"It's been exciting to watch"

#GoBolts forward Brayden Point has been impressed by Sam O'Reilly.

“He has really good puck skills, can shoot it well and it looks like he’s a smart player. He really sees things well out there, so it’s exciting to have him and I think he’s done great so far.”

#GoBolts forward Ilya Mikheyev on playing with Point and Kucherov: "I just see the communication between those two guys on the ice and how they have a feel for each other. It's a good example of how it's supposed to be."

I asked new #GoBolts forward Ilya Mikheyev today about trying to score on Andrei Vasilevskiy in practice and he gave a great answer 😂.

“It’s hard because sometimes I don’t see the net because he’s too big.”

#GoBolts power play 2 today:

Hedman up top, Goncalves on the left wall, Geekie on the right.

Cirelli in the bumper spot, Holmberg down low.

Today’s #GoBolts camp groups, with Group A hitting the ice first this morning with plenty of NHLers:

Dylan Duke was among the AHL’s top goal scorers last season for the Syracuse Crunch. Now he’s back at training camp pushing for more NHL looks with the #GoBolts.

“Dukey is definitely a Tampa Bay Lightning profile of player.”

While it hasn’t been announced yet, the #GoBolts EBUG this season will be Kyle Konin, who has been the EBUG for the past few seasons, but new CBA requires teams to carry one for all games during the year, including road games. All EBUGs will wear No. 00
