A story without #conflict
is dull and uninteresting
nothing every changes
everything the same
The reader closes the book
of the Everyday man
who agrees with everyone
and avoids the fights
and leaves treasure behind

Conflict
Between my skin and your touch
Taste and the sweetness of life
Emotions and the will to be
Conflict
Feeds the root of being
Keeps the eyes from seeing
Brought you near
Drove us on the journey
Conflict
We nursed it as a baby
Gave it our strength
Embraced it in all its glory

The heat of the land and sea
Rails against the lessening light
An escalating reciprocity of #conflict
Until Autumn storms hold
And leaf laden trees sway

We were together for 30 years, so of course we had #conflict occasionally, but five years after his death I still miss him.
RIP Don 💜

Here's conflict - one movement after another, for what? It's easier to answer when there's not those smiley faces - the smiles millimeters-deep - blaring in foreground and background. Knower of all the oppressive tricks, benefit-er of enough of them to not want to know.
Conflict.
