Sooo... Diablo 4. I like it...

It's dark, it's grim, it's a struggle.

You can clearly see the passion the game designers poured into it.

It is also very apparent of all the money making schemes the higher-ups had crammed in.

Still, I plan to get some fun out of it.

If you want to flex your voice acting chops, there's a real cool browser game called "Choicer Voicer." I suspect it uses AI to create the stems and retain the presentation of the original scene, but I can't deny... it's a lot of fun!

Whilst I'm obsessing...

The OST is pretty minimalist, but it's a huge, varied and interesting compilation of sounds. I recently said it was as though it was composed on Ambien and arranged sober [complimentary], and I stand by that.

2.Seb is seen exiting through a door marked "personnel only" into a back alley with a trash container, he's saying :

3.A man in a padded biking suit with a helmet on, one who already appeared delivering blood for the Fanged Girl, waves to him saying :"Yup, that's me, I gather you're my client ?”.
Beside him, Yawarakai, the diminutive capybara demon hovers saying nothing "...". The man's bike can be seen stationed in the back.

Roughly 7.5hrs in (+ 2hrs of save reverts and fail states), LISA has gotten its hooks in me. It frustrates, it even literally gives you the middle finger at times, but it's a fascinating work of fiction and mechanical depth.

Critique (see alt text) aside, I can't wait to keep playing! #blutoid

Long story short, despite how interesting this scene was and it achieving the desired effect of "oh fuck this sucks what a world," I think it failed to stay consistent with the rest of the game as, usually, the game offers you a choice to sacrifice something to save your party members. That's one of the big throughlines of LISA: The Painful.

However, here, the game just forces death upon your mates by a roll of the dice (not sure if a character's Luck stat affects this scene). It wiped out probably 4 of my guys, which is an insane disconnect from the rest of the game.

Nonetheless, memorable scene.
