We'll talk about this when we have our lectures on public opinion, but it is CRITICAL to understand that just because 41% of people believe something (or, in this case, "see" fraud) doesn't mean that they're RIGHT. It's just how they FEEL.

I've seen clips where Kaitlan is asking Trump reasonable questions with respect and good manners, yet Trump gets overly offensive. The journalists are just doing their jobs, but he doesn't like being put in the hot seat for his actions. #StudentsTalkPolitics @studentstalkpols.bsky.social

I mean, I haven't heard that CNN spreads fake news or anything like that, or even causing misbehaviors inside the WH. So, why would they ban them right now? Maybe Trump wants to favor his political party for the upcoming elections?

This little girl is breaking records with the Rubix cube and I couldn't even have the attention span to solve it once :/

#StudentsTalkPolitics

That cubing record is actually a fairly big deal, as women are really underrepresented! As an (amateur) speedcuber myself, seeing record-holders this young is fairly common (more dextrous hands, typically)--the single fastest official solve is held by 9-year-old Teodor Zajder.

My sociology professor actually brought this case up in class. We talked about how ICE has been acting in ways that some people describe as domestic terrorism because of the fear and intimidation it can create. It’s definitely something that deserves serious investigation. #StudentsTalkPolitics

That story of the guy that was detained after being shot reminds me of a story in the UK of an 18 year old who was stabbed and the police arrested him instead of the perpetrator. Both instances involved the issue of prejudice based on race (racism)

How do so many predators and or pedophiles get involved in such powerful fields? Ex Harvey Weinstein, Donald Trump

Hearing "Bad news for the president" is like telling a dog its favorite words.

Hope everyone is already registered to vote! Every vote counts and needs to make time to go vote. It is your American right and duty! :D. #StudentsTalkPolitics @studentstalkpols.bsky.social

It's HAPPENING!!!

Keep up the activity!

#StudentsTalkPolitics

If access to government officials depends on whether coverage is “professional” or favorable, where do we draw the line between standards and controlling who reports? A free press should be able to question those in power, not only report when they agree. #StudentsTalkPolitics

For the Texas ICE shooting, having a bullet still lodged in your body when you are taken into custody is insane. I wish the officers had been more aware of Wilber Rafael's situation. #StudentsTalkPolitics

Inflation is killing us all!, especially those who live check by check. Hope everyone is dealing with it as best as they can. #StudentsTalkPolitics @studentstalkpols.bsky.social

I remember when the Rubik's Cube first came out!

Oh, jeez . . . That makes me sound REALLY OLD! 😭😭😭😭😭

#StudentsTalkPolitics

That's really cool that the girl from China was able to solve the Rubik's Cube super fast. #StudentsTalkPolitics

It's crazy to hear that a 28 year old Venezuelan man was shot by an ICE officer. What surprised me even more is that DHS defended their actions. I think this situation definitely needs to be fully investigated.

"They have failed to maintain basic professionalism expected of those with access to the White House"? I don't think this is true. Why would you ban such famous news companies? All this just a few months before elections sounds suspicious...

@studentstalkpols.bsky.social

There is no reason for news organizations removing media about the government when their job is to inform the people. This literally goes against the 1st Amendment! #StudentsTalkPolitics

#StudentsTalkPolitics We should let dolly RIP but they are just using her, and changing what she wanted.
