The Sudanese Armed Forces said late Sunday, Sept. 27 that it “categorically reject these allegations and consider them baseless”, after Ethiopian army chief Field Marshal Birhanu Jula accused #Sudan, #Egypt and #Eritrea of backing forces fighting the federal government.

Sudan’s Foreign Minister Mohieldin Salim Ahmed Ibrahim on Sept. 28 criticized the #US for failing to issue an entry visa to Army Chief Gen. Abdel-Fattah Burhan to attend the #UN General Assembly, while calling for an end to foreign support that is helping sustain #Sudan’s civil war.
