Thank you for everything you’re doing to mobilize and organize young Granite Staters all across New Hampshire! #NHPolitics

Press Release: Statement on the Resignation of Chief Justice MacDonald #NHPolitics

Graphic with a photo of Representative Paul Berch and a quote. Rep. Berch is in the lower right hand corner. He is smiling at the camera. He has gray hair on both sides of his head and a light gray beard. He is wearing a red tie, black suit jacket, and a white button up shirt. Quote reads:"Our courts must command the confidence of the people they serve. Justice must be administered fairly and impartially, without favoritism and without even the appearance that personal relationships can influence the administration of our courts."Graphic with text from press release. Text reads: "STATEMENT ON THE RESIGNATION OF CHIEF JUSTICE MACDONALD

CONCORD, NEW HAMPSHIRE – On September 15, Chief Justice Gordon MacDonald announced that he was resigning from the New Hampshire Supreme Court. Representative Paul Berch (D-Westmoreland), the Ranking Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, released the following statement:

“I am saddened by the circumstances that have led to the resignation of Chief Justice Gordon MacDonald. He has had a long and distinguished career in law and in public service.

Our courts must command the confidence of the people they serve. Justice must be administered fairly and impartially, without favoritism and without even the appearance that personal relationships can influence the administration of our courts.

That confidence is being tested by the court’s increasingly partisan composition. By appointing only Republicans to the bench, Governors Sununu and Ayotte have broken a longstanding tradition of partisan balance, raising concerns about institutional diversity amid multiple instances of misconduct. With a vacancy now open, restoring partisan balance should be a top priority.

It is also important to recognize that the system established to protect the integrity of our judiciary worked as it should. The independent Judicial Conduct Committee investigated the matter, followed its established process, and reached serious conclusions. Chief Justice MacDonald acknowledged violations of the Code of Judicial Conduct and accepted responsibility for his actions.

Under these circumstances, his decision to resign was appropriate. This is a sad ending to a significant career in public service, but the integrity of our courts and public confidence in the impartial administration of justice must come first.”"

Such a fantastic evening with the NHYD BBQ! I was reminded of the fun we had hosting this gathering in our backyard years ago & so AWESOME that the organization has outgrown our backyard! It's inspiring to see the passion of the next generation of Granite Staters driving positive change. #NHPolitics

"There is no guarantee that New Hampshire Democrats will retake the state House of Representatives in November. But if they do, the path to victory goes through Manchester Ward 12, Goffstown, Londonderry, Sunapee, and Bedford." From @ethandewitt.bsky.social #NHPolitics

Republicans are the kind of people who will accuse public schools of practicing indoctrination while illegally legislating to appropriate public funds so as to pay for indoctrinating their own children...

Banning journalists from the White House is a direct and blatant attack on our Constitution. We need leadership in Washington that will fight against Trump’s censorship and disregard for the First Amendment. Anthony DiLorenzo is a rubber stamp for Trump. #NHPolitics #NH01

The New Hampshire Republican Party is being taken over by the Free State Project. Don't let this extremist agenda take over the Granite State. #nhpolitics #VoteOutFreeStaters #midterms2026
