Happy mid-week friends... today's #BirdOfTheDay, #Shorebirds features a pair of migrators whose visit last weekend, gave me a chance to photograph them. An American Golden Plover (fall color) and its diminutive cousin, a Semipalmated Plover. #Birds #BirdingOH #wildlife #Naturephotography #ECK🪶📷🦉

There are two birds in this photo. The larger of the two birds, an American Golden Plover is center right of frame, near the shoreline of an inlet pool, facing and looking viewer's right. The second bird, a Semipalmated plover is located in the lower left corner of the photo, facing and looking viewer's right, standing in a puddle of water. Both birds hung out for three days, waiting for the Northern winds to help carry them further south.
