Coon Creek Beach in Montaña De Oro State Park, California, can only be accessed at low tide. With the tide at low level, the tide pools, seaweed, rocks and cliff cave are accessible. The cliff is white with dark discoloration at the base from normal tide levels. A large dark arch in the cliff is a cave that also opens facing the ocean. The sand is very coarse, and the sky is blue.

A white fogbow has formed over Laguna Lake Open Space in San Luis Obispo. A fog bow is like a rainbow, but because the water droplets are so fine, they are not able to form the prism colors seen in rainbows. They occur when there is light fog in the morning and the sun is low. You will see them when your back is to the sun, hence my shadow in the center under the fogbow. The field is long, dry, brown grasses, and faint hills can be seen beyond the fogbow. The sky is blue above the fogbow.
A narrow cave entrance set into a rugged limestone cliff face. The rock surrounding the opening shows various textures with patches of gray, tan, and dark lichen, split by a vertical fissure extending above the opening. The interior of the cave is dark and recedes into pitch black shadow, while small patches of green vegetation and a few trees cling to the rock surface on the lower side of the frame.
