Farmers are feeling the effects of the tariffs more than the common folk. Farmers are the backbone of this country and need to be protected! #StudentsTalkPolitics @studentstalkpols.bsky.social

I come from a family of farmers and people in the business and it is insane how much agriculture has changed in the US. When approaching college, I thought about majoring in agriculture, but after seeing the agricultural economy, I knew that it would lead to financial hardship #StudentsTalkPolitics

Seeing these farmers reminds me of my family in Nuevo Laredo,Tamaulipas. They would work so hard just so they can make a living and take care of their bills. Working with them was such a joy in my childhood. They were just trying to survive. @studentstalkpols.bsky.social #StudentsTalkPolitics

In Star Wars: A New Hope, the totalitarian Galactic Empire destroys a completely peaceful planet, Alderaan, unprompted and out of nowhere. The Galactic Empire simply wanted to instill fear to control people with ease

YES! We've got our unit on Media & Politics coming up in a couple of weeks! We'll be talking about framing and agenda setting!

Indeed, we don't have control over the weather or what things cost. #StudentsTalkPolitics

#StudentsTalkPolitics my dad says the same thing since it is really true, you have to protect what you have as much as you can until you can't

In the Russian Threat section, learning about the heavy usage of drones makes me think about how far technology has advanced. Technology provides much utility in our lives but in war, I fear the death it brings. #StudentsTalkPolitics

True. Trump thinks that he has the power to do whatever he wants... Thankfully, our voice is heard by the U.S. and things like this will eventually be fixed.

Good for Moldova for being able to withstand so much pressure from such a seemingly powerful entity! That makes two small countries doing much, much better than one would assume against Russia--maybe Russia isn't quite as powerful as they'd like us to think...

Something I’m realizing from watching more political news is that getting information isn’t always the same as understanding it. Who is being interviewed, what questions are asked, and what perspective is included can all change how a story comes across. #StudentsTalkPolitics

@nicolereyna04.bsky.socialSep 24, 2026, 1:38 AM

Yeah, I'm not surprised that even farmers are struggling with this economy we are in. #StudentsTalkPolitics

It’s interesting because voter enthusiasm is like fuel for a car. You can have support, but if people aren’t motivated to vote, that support won’t take you very far. It makes you wonder how much things can change before Election Day. #StudentsTalkPolitics @studentstalkpols.bsky.social

I mean, we all want the same things, it's just how we get there where the differences lie. Accusing your political opponents of "treason" or being "anti-American" is not constructive and gets us NOWHERE.

He changed the state of our politics in such a short amount of time It makes me wonder how he got away with most of it, has it always been like this? #StudentsTalkPolitics

It is beyond devastating that Russia is willing to destroy a neutral country just to get close to nations they disagree with. This shows how heartless the Russian government is, as they are taking things too far, especially since Moldova is not as large and advanced as Russia. #StudentsTalkPolitics

@poralot.bsky.socialSep 24, 2026, 1:35 AM

Absolutely, it's just the information age all over again. New technologies always shape war, and the effects of military drones now is already incredibly drastic

"Governing from the middle" is something that I have thought about frequently. Choosing either extreme of the political spectrum is a bad thing because neither side is the right side. Recognizing that both sides have valid points is how our political culture can improve.
