It's Labor Day, and thus it is again time to post the champion of workers across the universe, Rom.

I haven't walked at the hill since mid-June due to bday plans and humidity. So in order to adequately prepare for today, I made sure I had simple+complex carbs, simple sugars and lean protein as pre-wkout! And had adequate hydration for before, during and after! #SignalHill 🌴

This Labor Day, we remember the workers in House District 27 whose courage helped advance workplace rights in Albemarle Paper Company v. Moody to Sledge v. J.P. Stevens.

So we did the virtual version at the hill where we normally walk in Signal Hill and made plans to do the same this yr! We just double up so we can get as close to same 5.3 mi. Sue and I have done the 5.3 mile Conquer the Bridge Vincent Thomas Bridge Marathon in San Pedro every Labor Day since 2011 with few exceptions incl last yr when they canceled the event at the last min due to construction.

The bridge will be closed til 2027. 🚧
