Quiet #sound still breath
One in unspoken embrace
Simply be united

The trick of the light fools all
It does not illuminate
Nor shine and guide
It’s in the business of distraction
Catching the eye
Redirecting thoughts to false horizons
The honesty of the dark
Is where the truth is found
Where the mind can settle
Back to the womb of sound

The silent #sound is all around
It permeates the air
A deep breath in
A second skin
Of duty, dread & care

We wait for things to happen
The other foot to fall
For the looking glass to shatter
To gladly heed the call

The #sound of the trumpet pierced the air.
It woke up the ISS.
It scrambled Sky News.
It preempted droning parliamentarians.
It echoed in every home, business, school, and prison.
It reverberated at the philharmonic.
The conductor looked up, annoyed. 'I said B-flat!'

tongue of evil
spoke of unthinkable
things
blasted from two faced screens
cries without #sound
carried with wind
life takes a breath
#vss365 #poetry

a creak
escaped her throat
mouth agape
lowering volumes

taking in
short breaths
of noxious fumes

anxious—
she tries to
exhale
exhale
exhale

but
like a sinkhole
she consumes

"Sonar..." Stella whispered when she figured out Chinatsu's attack. #Sound managed to rupture crowds causing their organs to pop. If Jin was to face her, he would have to destroy the DJ booth and the physical media. Knowing him, the simple solution would be fire. #vss365

I dont know
But I been told
The fascists here are getting bold

Ice cold thugs
Out on my streets
But I know how they can be beat

#sound off
One two
Sound off
Three four

Get it done at the ballot box
Cause these jokers want a war

She jumps up with a trill, then the #sound of her purr tells me it's time to drop everything and show love to my kitty cat. It's never long, but all my attention must be focused on her for those few minutes befoe she reasserts herself as a strong and independent female.

Freedom #sounds
Like a pen scratch
Dont forget to sign your ballot

Had written this about a month back, and coincidentally fits in today’s #vss365 prompt #sound.

Gimme #sound byte snippets
to bolster our arguments
which we of the thought collective
will dutifully carry to the field of ideas

WE SCREAM WITH ONE VOICE

VOLUME AND REPETITION

Move the needle
of fickle public opinion
toward the approved conclusions

Serve up the bullshit

Rinse and spit

Over the hum of freeway

Beyond drone of dishwasher

Cool morning sound, alive and expectant

Call of crow, chatter of sparrow

The day awakens

My dieting husband is found
On a kitchen chair - clothed, gagged, and bound
The cops look my way
"FRANK, TELL THEM!" I say
But no food in means no outgoing #sound

What's that #sound‽

Those are the mites protesting.

Mites? Protesting⸮

You need a microphone & amplifier with noise reduction to discern but they're complaining about my dust collection.

Your dust collection

I've taken years to collect dust from all over the county & they want it back.

I remember
those
first albums
Simon & Garfunkel
Bob Dylan
Neil Diamond
Joni Mitchell
but
Paul Simon's
Sound of Silence
was
a
favourite
Hello darkness my
old friend
captured
my adolescent
longings
as I would
sit watching
the rain fall
thinking
life
was so unfair
looking
for someone
