A second kick in the gut in so few days.
Half of the ka-tet is now gone and the two remaining… Well, they have GOT to be broken inside by now.
I continue reading The Dark Tower, Part III, Ch II: Ves’-Ka Gan.

I have never enjoyed not enjoying a book as much as I’m not enjoying The Dark Tower.
The mood is so bitter here at the end of all tihngs. We’ve recently lost a beloved character in a painstakingly drawn out manner and now, during the quest to save King,

In a series that featured human/spider hybrids, insane wizards and psychotic intelligent trains, I didn’t expect an unhappy Jewish housewife to play a heroic role in the saga!
I finish off Part Three, Ch I: Mrs. Tassenbaum Drives South.
@jasonimpey.bsky.socialOur special film. Watched this so many times together including a fantastic screening at The Kinema In The Woods. Rachel is my number one fan #misery #4kuhd #stephenking #horror #physicalmedia

Finished off this episode from The Kingslingers where they continued gushing over King’s writing of the death of Eddie Dean. I’d love to get them in a room with Two Guys to the Dark Tower Came and have them battle it out.

The Kingslingers had nothing but praise for the section of The Dark Tower that saw the end of a beloved character.

I pause after reading the saddest chapter in the entire Dark Tower series to listen to Two Guys to the Dark Tower Came review this section of The Dark Tower.

I have never been this unwilling to continue with a book before. Even with the worst of the worst books, I will plow through it to the end because that’s just the way I’m wired.

I dreaded picking up The Dark Tower today.
I knew Eddie’s demise happened in this book. I just didn’t realize it occurred so soon.
The sense of adventure is gone. Now it’s just sorrowful mourning.
I pick up at Part Two, Ch XII: The Tet Breaks.

I finish off Part Two, Ch XI: The Attack on Algul Siento in The Dark Tower.
The action has been furious! Susannah the sniper has taken out several taheen and low-men. Roland and Jake have stormed the compound with Oriza plates.
