The brush and line 51.

In the fall of the day,
It's there.
A flickering at the end.
A point of light to fend off the dark to come...

In the fall it will guide.
Call even.
A simple beacon.
Or maybe a warning...

Doing so would violate the #FirstLawOfRobotics —“A robot may never harm a human.” From here the short would play out more or less like it did, with #Rock resisting #Wily ‘s control and destroying the bug, #Light suiting him up into #MegaMan, and teleporting him to the city to face #MetalMan.

#Wily: “You took everything from me, Thomas #Light! Now watch me take your ‘children’ from you!”

* #Wily forces #Rock to point his tool attachment at #Roll, but #Light rushes between #Rock and #Roll*

#Light: “NO!!!”

* #Light knows #Rock won’t shoot him—or rather he CAN’T shoot him.

How I’d do the scene:

* #Rock is bitten by the #Wily bug and aims his tool attachment at #Light*

#Rock (in #Wily ‘s voice, provided by #RobertEnglund): “Hello, Thomas. It’s been a while.”

#Light: “Albert??? Al, you need to stop! End this madness and let #Rock go! Please, Albert, I beg you!”

In the middle of a busy restaurant where the overhead lights are turned down to a cavelike setting, a single lamp casts a gentle pool of light over the table.

I guess it’s just a lamp for most people. I guess we’re not most people.
