There is a considerable amount of lightning being detected in the eyewall region of #Isaias… Documented as a notorious harbinger for hurricane intensification, I fear that this storm is continuing to strengthen.

Recent hurricane hunter data suggests Hurricane Isaias may have intensified into a Category 4 this afternoon.
Max wind speeds at 700mb were 136kt (~120kt/140mph at surface).
A Tornado Watch has also been issued as tropical supercells come onshore today.
