#GoBolts forward Dominic James also joined today’s skate for a bit. James is working his way back from a broken hand.

#GoBolts Jon Cooper on Viel: "He walks around here very comfortable, very personable, listens, works. But he's got a swag to him that you can tell that he's been in a couple back alleys before (laughs). He creates space for himself out there, and I thought their line was exceptional last night."

Good to see Lucas Mercuri back on the ice for the #GoBolts these last few days after leaving the prospect showcase finale with an apparent injury.

The right-shot center is one of the young guys pushing for their NHL debut this season.

Here's a fun note: Emil Lilleberg and Noah Steen playing for the #GoBolts last night is believed to be the first time in NHL history that a pair of Norwegian-born players have played a game as teammates (preseason, regular season or playoffs)

It goes down as a loss, but a lot of things to like in the game. #GoBolts

Jon Cooper summed up tonight’s game well postgame: “A lot more good than bad from tonight. It’s unfortunate, you want to walk away from the game with the win, but I think it was a growing moment for a lot of the players.”
