Some fairy inkcaps from a week ago for #fungifriday

Several large groups of them appeared on a mossy bank & on a nearby pavement I walk down on my way home, they grew very quickly then turned greyish & died within a few days & it was almost as if they'd never been there at all.

Closeup of a small group of very small cream to greyish white mushroom/fungi with bell shaped heads growing out of gap in the pavement surrounded by moss & reddish brown leaves.

Not a Dryad in sight, as usual, but their tack room in Hammerdown Wood, N. Wiltshire, displayed a healthy stock of Dryad’s Saddles (Ceriopous squamosus). #FungiFriday

Is #FungiFriday a thing?!

Because I just got back from a hike in the 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Highlands where there was an abundance of fungi - saw sooo many varieties, including tons of the fairytale-esque Fly Agaric. 🍄🍄🍄

Also saw lots of butterflies 🦋 (some may have been moths) and a teeny tiny wee frog! 🐸

Two fly agaric mushrooms nestled amongst moss, grass and leaves on the forest floor. They have white stems and bright orang-red caps with white spots on them, and look straight out of a fairytale book.

For #FungiFriday have a lickable Dog Vomit Slime Mould 😉 and a False Chanterelle holding what @ghostofdatura.bsky.social might call Forbidden Soup 😄

El pinetell es confon amb el rovelló al Berguedà, Barcelona i els vallesos. És un dels bolets de bosc més coneguts a Catalunya, i el moment de veure'l és sobretot a l'octubre.

It is friday once again, this pic from earlier in the summer
#photography #fungifriends #fungifriday

a beige colored bracket fungus on a mossy log in golden sunlight, it has concentric rings like a turkey tail but not as much color variation as those normally do. Resembles an ear, or a strip mine seen from above. There's another, smaller, darker growth dotted on the surface of the mushroom, hard to say if it's part of it or not.
