Primetime (1h50m)

Interesting character study that owes a lot to Robert Pattinson’s performance paired to very aesthetic cinematography.
The script however doesn’t develop its individual moment enough, resulting in a film that feels incomplete.

i was definitely thinking “scuzzy film noir” while watching it and “Sweet Smell of Success” is the perfect pull - a movie about sweaty, oily, soulless, needy amoral people chasing a dream not worth having.

Wowza - was floored by the darkly twisted dramatization of TV’s “To Catch a Predator” in the awesome film #Primetime @ #BeyondFest @ American Cinematheque !

Singh’s great script + Oppenheim’s wild & at times over the top direction (*a compliment*) creates a film noir/horror mood that resonates!
