Photo of kites (6 visible) against a blue sky, with a white ferris wheel on the left. In the bottom left corner a yellow and red flag
A night time scene of a road in the foreground with construction site hoardings on the far side of it. The moon is very bright in the sky and in the distance are two church spires and a large luffed crane.
A colour photograph shot through a metal garden arch. Looking across to hills in the mid ground ( Causey Pike, Sail, Eel Crags and Barrow) with a dramatic sky.

ein schwarzer hydrant am strassenrand wirkt wie eine unheimliche figur. das bild ist düster gehalten
The photograph shows a grassy area from a low angle. The lower two-thirds of the frame are taken up by green grass in perspective, whilst the upper third is divided equally between a dark green strip of distant woodland and a strip of blue sky. In the foreground, pinkish-purple flowers with white stems and long petals rise from the grass, pointing upwards like outstretched hands.
The enlarged photograph shows a broad, green blade of grass. It is photographed in a vertical orientation, showing only the central part of the blade, so that it takes up most of the photograph as an almost vertical rectangle. The surface of the blade is covered with a large number of tiny, transparent water droplets of various sizes. Some drops cling to the side edge of the blade as well. In the background are other blurred green blades of grass.
Brass and red velvet. It looks a little steampunk, or something from the Time Machine. It's a telescope, about the size of a small cannon, fixed between two concrete piers, in a small plush room, with the plush velvet armchair providing a comfy perch. Look closer. There is a track for the comfy chair, so it can always be in position. Also, the back can flip to the other side. The astronomer will always have a nice spot to sit. The telescope can only move up and down (and around) not left and right: it is for determining time.

Less comfortable for the astonomer, the phone line, not quite visible. Anyone in the country could call it, at any time, and get the current accurate time.

A close-up photograph of a clump of light-brown mushrooms with wide, flat tops and visible gills, growing in the grass
A tall waterfall plunges over layered dark rock into a turquoise pool, with silky rapids flowing over a rocky creek bed in a forested canyon.
A bridge with a metal structure spans a river, surrounded by trees and rocks under a cloudy sky.
Photograph of an alleyway in a flea market. Sunlight hits the closed metallic curtains of the shops on the left side of the alleyway and the empty chairs in front of these shops. Growths of ivy covers one the walls of the chair shop. In the shade on the right side of the alleyway, a locker box with its side covered entirely in stickers sits under a pipe that also has stickers on it, and which is connecting to the roof's rain gutters. The sunlight passes through the thin space between the opposite shops' roofs.
