Wahlin frequently stood out to me last spring while covering the #MBMoose. Really smart player. He'll play a key role with the Moose this year and could absolutely become an option for the #NHLJets at some point IMO.

Big Kieron Walton shows off some nifty hands around the net to tuck in a loose puck, bringing the #NHLJets within a goal.

But an empty-netter right after makes it a 6-4 final for Toronto.

I'll have a full recap of the weekend prospects action coming for @winnipegfreepress.com.

Viggo Bjorck has really stood out for me this weekend. But not too far behind him have been Brayden Yager and Lucas Wahlin, who just teamed up for a power play goal (Wahlin scored it). Alfons Freij with the other assist.

#NHLJets prospects down 5-3 in the 3rd to Toronto.

Viggo Friggin Bjorck! DAMN! #NHLJets

And here’s another Viggo Bjorck highlight from today. A great rush up the wing that ended with a great scoring chance/save.

Memo to Bjorck’s #NHLJets linemates — you best be ready at all times for a pass. His vision and creativity is off the charts.

Viggo Bjorck, folks.

Check out this no-look between-the-legs drop pass to Davis Burnside, who rips it home for a shorthanded tally.

#NHLJets prospects trailing Toronto kids 3-2 after two.

Jacob Julien had the first goal for Winnipeg.

#NHLJets beat MTL 3-1 to open the prospect challenge

My three stars:

1. Viggo Björck, for the goal, the saved goal, and the puck possession clinic
2. Brayden Yager, for the goal, the assist, and the general sense of purpose
3. Samuel Hrenák for the acrobatics, the battle, the W

Nice showing for the #NHLJets prospects today in Gatineau, beating the Montreal Canadiens kids 3-1.

Samuel Hrenak (22 shots, 21 saves and nearly an empty-net goal) was great.

Viggo Bjorck 1G, 1A
Brayden Yager 1G, 1A
Kevon He 1G

They play the Toronto Maple Leafs prospects Sunday.

Make it 3-0 for the #NHLJets kids.

Kevin He, who is turning pro this fall and will be a TON of fun to watch with the #MBMoose, pokes home a loose puck.

Viggo Bjorck picks up the primary assist to go with his earlier goal as he tipped an Alfons Freij shot off the post.

Nice little snipe at the end of a power play. Also some good work from Wahlin in this shift winning a puck battle in the slot.

Sam Hrenak has also been very good for the #NHLJets in goal through the first 40.

2-0 #NHLJets prospects through 2

Brayden Yager, who set up Viggo Bjorck for his first period goal, now has his own tally.

Great steal by Lucas Wahlin — he really impressed me with the #MBMoose last spring — to feed Yager.

And now Yager scored to make it 2-0 #NHLJets at the end of a 2nd period largely controlled by the Habs prospects.

Viggo Björck casually outthinking everyone on the 1-0 #NHLJets goal. He's playing the prospects game one step ahead of his competition via hockey IQ.

Assist to Brayden Yager, video from the Winnipeg Jets Twitter account.

This Viggo kid is making me feel feelings I haven't felt in quite a while. #NHLJets

Are you sitting down #NHLJets fans?

Viggo Bjorck has scored his first goal in the first period of his first prospects game, a beautiful wraparound after taking a pass from Brayden Yager.

1-0 Winnipeg over Montreal.

Mark Scheifele and Connor Hellebuyck bought into Kevin Cheveldayoff's 2023 pitch to build an #NHLJets contender.

Why does Scheifele still believe? And what's he -doing- about it?

There's no doubt Viggo Bjorck will be the main focus this weekend as #NHLJets prospects hit the ice in Quebec for a quick tourney.

Just don't tell him that.

The 18-year-old isn’t getting ahead of himself, nor is he taking anything for granted.
