Some white mushrooms are growing on the ground amidst green grass and autumn foliage. The western bitter bolete is a mostly pale yellow bolete with a magical characteristic: it stains blue when bruised or cut. Close-up view of several small pale orange-brown mushrooms growing from a thick carpet of bright green moss on the forest floor. Red Cap Mushroom Patch finished. The caps of the mushrooms are stitched, including the white and light gray dots. The mushroom stems are stitched. The moss is stitched. The backstitching around the mushrooms is finished. Stitched onto a white 14-count aida pre-made bookmark blank with scalloped edging. Pattern and embroidery by Sidney Eileen.
