So I’ve always liked space and the night sky, so when the boys names were introduced to us I immediately got excited. Now with this prompt I decided I would use this opportunity to show everyone where in the sky those names come from. First off, depending where you are Canis Major is a fall/winter or fall/winter/spring constellation as each constellations visibility is different between the Northern Hemisphere to the Southern Hemisphere. You might ask, why am I talking about Canis Major? Well that’s where the brightest star in our sky lives and that star is Sirius (marked with green). Orion though, is a fall/winter/spring constellation and I feel like most of us can easily recognize and find that constellation. Orions Belt is a great way to find Canis Major as the belt points directly at Sirius. I often look towards the Star that I have marked in red for what direction to go. Anyway, next time you want to see the brothers in our sky, now you know where to look to find them. Side note, I also made Beetlejuice orange just because beetlejuice is also a fun star in general and it’s also Orions right shoulder. Anyway, if you read this all the way through, Thanks for letting me share this little bit of information with you! I hope you have a good day! Or night, if it’s night and the right time of year, go look at the stars with your new found knowledge! Or go to bed.
