@willweatherrva.bsky.socialThe recon delay for #Polo is going to turn out to be quite fortuitous because I'm pretty sure it hasn't peaked yet. Its eye temperature is already one of the warmest on record in the Eastern Pacific. About 1.5 hours to go before NOAA43 arrives.

Another recon plane is about to take off and and fly into the storm, it should be there around 1800 UTC. Polo will probably still be near or at peak intensity by then.
