"Imagine standing at the edge of the shore, close enough that the cool spray of saltwater might touch your face. In the foreground, the water is shallow and restless, forming delicate ripples that slide over each other like sheets of glass. Thin threads of white foam lace across the surface, drifting and dissolving as the tide shifts. Farther out, a larger wave rises—its back arched, its crest gathering light.
