Knies: “I’m very fortunate to still play here.”
Crocker: “I just assumed, even as I called over a thousand Marlies games, that Joe would always be there.”
Leafs confirm Todd Crocker as their new radio voice, will join the returning Jim Ralph in Jow Bowen's place after Joe's 44 seasons.
Joe's son David will call the majority of Marlie games this year, while Ben Shulman and Matt Cullen split the difference.
Matthews to Ryan Leslie about the offseason changes:
“I’m really happy with what they’ve done throughout the summer. The guys that we’ve brought in, new faces, change is inevitable ... there’s a lot more changeover this year than past. But I think it’s exciting.”
Wendel Clark on Gavin McKenna:
“He's such a smart player, and that's the thing that is going to work to his benefit. The skill set he has, he's such a smart player to adapt to situations, and that's really the biggest thing, it's a matter of getting used to playing every night.”
Nick Paul on Leafs captain Auston Matthews:
"He was one of the first guys that came up to me, shook my hand, talked for a little bit. He's awesome. I think he's a great leader, great room guy & you can see the presence he demands around the room"
