I also hate my voice so I'd never do it myself, so that leaves me completely out of options.

If I could do it myself, I would. I have the technical skills to pull it off, I even have (most) of the equipment. But no one wants to listen to my terrible voice acting.

I reckon I'll probably record my own audio books, because why not. I'm an actor, my voice is versatile. Also it's a cheeky way to get a final proofread in.

I’d love to have audiobooks for Sidetracked, but the production is so expensive/time-consuming. 😔

I can't stay focused enough to absorb the contents if I'm only listening. I need to be reading the words, sometimes even OUT LOUD, to myself. Even then, my focus isn't what it used to be 😬
I blame my tendency to use audio as filler while I do other things.
