@thenvpshow.bsky.socialPerhaps it's because of a shorter training camp/preseason.
Perhaps it's guys adjusting to one another.
Whatever the reason is, the Devils' offense is not there right now.
I saw too much of what I've seen the past few seasons with this team.
@allthedamnvamps.bsky.socialWell according to our coach, that should be game. I’m sure they’re “deflated” yet again. Too much to overcome for this weak ass team. #NJDevils
@thenvpshow.bsky.socialWeegar tucks one in with Allen down.
He squeezed the puck in with his pads.
Brutal goal.
2-1 Utah
@freeirony.bsky.socialUgh.... #NJDevils
@thenvpshow.bsky.socialThe 2nd Period is a go.
@thenvpshow.bsky.socialEnd of the 1st Period:
1-1
Devils 🚨: Evangelista (1) from Jack Hughes and Jesper Bratt
Good to see the Devils finally get a power-play goal.
Gotta pick up the energy, though, as well as not allowing as many chances for Utah in the slot as they have.
@allthedamnvamps.bsky.socialCooley would be a Devil if Tom Fitzgerald wasn’t an incompetent. I’ll never get over that. #NJDevils
@freeirony.bsky.socialGlad for the 3-5 PPG, but our PP is way too much outside play and seemingly just scrambling for possession.
Need to solve that quickly.
@thenvpshow.bsky.social🚨 DEVILS GOAL 🚨
The Devils finally get one on the power play, and it's Luke Evangelista with his first as a Devil!
1-1
@defiantthelion.bsky.socialWish it didn’t have to come by way of a 5 on 3. But thank fuck they are on the board on the PP.
@scoob1978.bsky.socialWe should play them 5-3 the whole game
#NJDevils
@clutch43.bsky.socialEvangelista !!! PPG 🚨 #NJDevils 1-1
@allthedamnvamps.bsky.socialPRAISE FUCKING SATAN #NJDevils
@alexcthw.bsky.socialLuke Evangelista redirects a shot to tie the game at 1-1, his first goal with the #NJDevils.
Huge to score on that 5v3.
