Illinois makes the 4th and 12 after a BS holding call.

#Illini

#illini ocnvert on fourth down, but Eddie Tuerk — in for Champ Smith — is called for a hold.

Are you in Columbus? If so, you, yes, you are going in at OG for the #Illini

Another #illini OL injury. Ffreshman Champ Smith needs help off the field, not putting much weight on the injured leg.

Positive: #illini have been in Ohio State territory five of six drives.

People. Seriously.

I hope everyone finds someone that loves you like Gus Johnson loves Jeremiah Smith.

28-10 at half at the Horseshoe with OSU making a TON of mistakes.

Remember last year when Ohio State beat us 34-16 at Gies Memorial Stadium, and the first reaction on the field by Ryan Day on the postgame field interview was fury that his players let up on the #Illini and didn’t play to the finish?

HALF: Ohio State 28, #illini 10

Offense can move the ball, but the defense can't stop the other team from moving the ball.

#illini DL Joshua Davis, a former JUCO prospect, is getting some run on this drive.

Houser had Trimble open for a TD, but he overthrows it. #illini have to settle for a 43-yard FG from Ethan Moczulski, which is GOOD.

Ohio State 21, Illinois 10; 1:32 left 3Q

8 plays, 50 yards; 2:40 TOP scoring drive

But Buckeyes are getting the ball back before half.

#illini have no answer for Jeremiah Smith (does anyone)? The best player in college football Mosses Tywan Cox for his 3rd TD of the game with an incredible toe-tap.

Smith has 6 receptions for 132 yards and 3 TDs.

Ohio State up 21-7 after a 19-play (!), 96-yard scoring drive.

#illini defense holds Ohio State with a third-down stop by Matthew Bailey and Will Holmes followed by an Ohio State false start on fourth down. But Ohio State converts on a 4th-and-8 anyway. Ouch.

I’ve had a lot more blame for Xs and Os than Jimmys and Joes this year, but that was some terrible tackling to give Sayin and OSU the first down.

#Illini

#illini had Julian Sayin dead to rights on 3rd-and-8 but couldn't tackle him. Killer first down scramble. Good movement up front but gotta finisht he play.

Katin Houser truly MISSED his first throw on that 2nd and 9, but Barry Lunney absolutely set Houser right up on a tee for this Buckeye defense on that 3rd and 9 with two starting OL missing after the Illini allowed two sacks to SIU last week.

#Illini

That was unfortunate, #Illini.

Katin Houser's held onto the football a bit too long today though. A third-down sack ends an #illini drive into Ohio State territory.

Lars Rau pins one inside the Ohio State 5 though. Great start to the day for the Illini punter.

#illini defense gets a PBU from Xavier Scott after some good pressure to get Julian Sayin on the move.

Illini defense gets a stop and the offense has a chance to tie this up.

14-7 OSU at the end of the first quarter. U of I needs to pick it up in the secondary. Seems like the Illini can move the ball on OSU.

#Illini

No idea how they saw us come out in 21 personnel and not immediately think Jordan Anderson was getting the ball but I’ll take it and love it!!

Touchdown #Illini!!

I continue to love Katin Houser’s poise. He is NOT intimidated by The Shoe right now.
