Pearly Gates - Psilocybe cubensis : a cross between True Albino Teacher (TAT) and the original homestead PE variety Melmac. Produced by mycologist Michael Montgomery. A true albino variety worth collecting and investigating!

Wealden lane-side Boletes for #FungiFriday, admittedly not one of the most exciting! Nor name, as I think this is Rooting Bolete.

This one's easy: Giant Polypore Meripilus giganteus!

Same tree, growing out of the ground (ie it's buried dead roots). Big football-sized frilly clumps of them!

A huge mass of light brown frilly fungi, growing out of a patch of grass. 2 other clumps above.

#FungiFriday Fantastic #fungi growing out of a dead beech tree.

They twist up the trunk in a line, with beautiful wavy gills like feathers.

Some kind of Oyster #mushroom (Veiled Oyster Pleurotus dryinus?) but they are so dried out and crinkly it's hard to tell.

#nature #textures #PhotoOfTheDay

Light brown mushrooms growing out of a dead tree - they are brackets shaped, with crinkly edges and thick wavy gills - but also completely shrivelled and dried out.
