@elfray.bsky.socialWent to the #USWNT game today and have thoughts:
-Love Avery Patterson but she"s not ready for prime time
-Did not love our center back pairing at all. Look Kept getting beat and didn't look confident building up from the back
-Rodman having to defend so much was not great
@brinotbrie.bsky.socialCan we burn some sage in Audi Field? #uswnt #washingtonspirit
@anakin78z.mograph.social.ap.brid.gyJust catching up on the US Spain game. I'm less than 20 minutes in, but yikes. I know this isn't our optimal back line, but they look like they've never played together before.
@barrientes.bsky.socialSold out crowd at #USvsSpain today in DC. Everybody watches women's sports! #USWNT

@pcattry.bsky.social#USWNTâs Emma Hayes is really driving the point home about the team needing to be better in terms of execution âUnluckyâs getting struck by lightning,â not failing to convert your chances
@jtannenwald.bsky.socialSpain serves the #USWNT a wake-up call with a two-goal defeat to open the first of two friendlies.

@pcattry.bsky.social#USWNTâs Emma Hayes on Lily Yohannesâ missed penalty and attacking performance at large: âI donât put it down to bad luck. I put it down to poor executionâ but says she still has âhopeâ after the outing
@pcattry.bsky.social#USWNTâs Emma Hayes on Spainâs first goal: âWe play ourselves into that position,â talks about getting the details right and adds âyou canât afford to go 2-0 down against the best team in the world, especially the way we concededâ
@www.thecutback.comSpain claimed a 2-0 victory in the first of their two friendlies against the US, with goals from Patricia Guijarro and Eva Navarro. It was an action-packed friendly as the US had a Sophia Smith-goal ruled out and missed a penalty, and Spain's Athenea del Castillo was sent off.

@mangopickle3.bsky.socialBack line and middle were atrocious for the first half. Cooper at back for 2nd half was a revelation. Hutton needs to start, always. Can't stand stutter step penalties. Just sad none of the forwards' chances made it to the back of the net. #USWNT
@bribailey22.bsky.socialInteresting game for #USWNT against Spain. Two exceptional finishes by Spain and unexceptional finishes by the US on a LOT more opportunities IMO. Honestly fairly pleased with how well we played other than finishing. We were the better team that 2nd half. Why Lily on the PK?
@lhenry019.bsky.socialThe #USWNT failed to erase an early deficit against Spain on Saturday and eventually suffered their third loss of 2026.
@equalizersoccer.bsky.socialIn the first of two friendlies against reigning World Cup champions Spain, the #USWNT lost 2-0, highlighting a stark difference in how clinical each team was with their goalscoring opportunities. Plus, Mallory Swanson and Ashley Sanchez made their first appearances since October 2024.
@quicheridge.bsky.social@lhenry019.bsky.socialPretty awesome moments for some young fans as Trinity Rodman, Emma Hayes, and Tara Rudd all spend time with them postgame.
Photos taken, autographs given, walks around the field. #USWNT
